Hi all,

Where is my party thread? When do we go for it?

I am now retired! Sad but very glad! Could not put one foot in front of the other any more.

I apologise for my neglect of you all recently but I had so much to do before I could leave with dignity and respect for myself. So all handed over to nice new people and all my work left as it should be. Even cleaned out my desk with wipes!

So I ask again, what has happened to the party night? I see Lynn is back, she will have to be included so that we can catch up. I did wonder where you had gone dear Lynn, nice to see you here again.

Will catch up over the next few days.

Eleanor x

Hi Eleanor,
Welcome back!
We are all at the Swiss finishing school learning manners and elegance ready for your Do.
Afraid it's not going terribly well since Jean smuggled in the whisky.
Amanda's out of it on the wine, Kathleen has brought the snake.
The rest of us have been sneaking off to do snowboarding, it's great fun!

Love, Doreen xx

PS forgot to say, Barbara's gone into rehab.

All I can say is THANK GOODNESS YOU ARE BACK.

Things have deteriorated over here in Switzerland at a rate of knots. No doubt you saw Mary being hoisted off the ski slopes on tele last night? The rescue team said it was a first for them - a woman who had caught her ski's in her thong. It was very upsetting for the rest of us. Well, apart from Amanda who is still out of it on a wine fest and Barbara who is in rehab.

The synchronised pole dancing team is going great guns over here. The ice DOES tend to play havoc with the tassles, although the wellies more than compensate.

Please get on the first plane over here - we need your sense of order and dignity LOL LOL LOL LOL

Hi Eleanor!

So lovely to hear from you I was beginning to wonder where you were! I've tried to catch up with what's been happening in my absence but I have clearly been overtaken by events and so many new members ..., wow! Keep thinking I've finally sussed who everyone is but then realise I actually haven't! Anyway, yes I am back and enjoying the company again and thank you for the welcome, it's good to be back!

Congratulations on your retirement it's finally happened. You have been so busy though in the preparation with the hand over. Hope you didn't overdo it?! I'm like you I have to say; I'd have been there, work up to date, bucket of water swabbing down my desk ... why do we do it?!

Anyway down to nitty gritty where's this party? I can see I'll have to up the ante if I'm out partying with you guys; not sure I can compete with tassels, boots and thongs but I can always try! Whisky, wine and snake hmmm .... gorilla?

Jean, how's Mary today? Hope she's recovering from her bad experience. It must have been a shock for her to find she's suddenly having all her 'delicate' bits televised worldwide although I see she managed a brave smile for the rescue team! I'm surprised she hasn't got frostbite and a numb bum!!

Think I'll have to jump the next plane over there complete with my snowboard!

Welcome back Eleanor. We have missed you. I do hope you have as happy 'retirement' as I have. It is wonderful to be able to do things 'in your own time' and to choose whether to get up or have a 'duvet day'.

I do hope you will be able to get over for the 'games'. I am going into hospital to have some bones fused in my foot. But I am told that it won't stop me taking part in the finals of the nudist luge competition. They have given me a dispensation to wear my foot plaster cast. Must remember to remove my tassels before jumping on the luge - don't want them getting caught under the runners Scared

Warmest wishes, Ann (Monty)

Thank you for the welcome back girls. I am so glad that you can't keep a good Ann down! After losing all this weight you will definately make the final if not the podium! Just remember the tassles and look out for Kathleen and the snake!

I was mortified to see that Mary on the screen again! She is determined to make her name one way or the other. I'll try and have a word with Sophie about removing the starch but then again remember Sophie's glitter and the problem that occured there. Least said the better there maybe!

Lyn it is good to see you back. What have you been up to? You have missed so many adventures! All around the world with many famous and infamous people. The last that I heard, Barbara was in charge of refinement lessons as there was just too many of the crew showing us up! I would not dream of revealing who the are but well, you can guess (Jenni, Jean, Doreen, Kathleen and that darned snake she takes everywhere she goes! Mary lives in another world: that of fame, fortune and police cells!) Then there's Julie and of course Amanda who is booze star, not that we drink it apart for medicinal reasons. The others are a bit better behaved except when they are not! Anyhow, you must come out with us. I am sure that Barbara will update us soon.

Jean, I am so glad to see that you are practising manners and decorum so well. it must have been a shock seeing Mary up to her old tricks. The woman has no shame.

Doreen, will we need to bring our own trays or do you have spares? Lyn, Ann and I will be flying out tomorrow. Just let me have a wee rest tonight to recover .

Lots of love girls,

Eleanor x

ps has Kathleen brought the snake?

Oh Eleanor - you obviously haven't heard.

Kathleen is very, very upset. PLEASE, for pity's sake, don't mention the wretched snake again. It froze last night and Doreen, not realising, thought it was her pole - need I say more?!?!

LOL LOL LOL

It's ok Jean, the snake's thawed out now and is alive and well.

Eleanor, it would be a good idea for you and Ann and Lyn to bring your own trays as ours are getting a bit battered.

About Barbara..........didn't you see my note? She's in rehab for a few days. I think the business with Mary and the thong was what tipped her over the edge.

By the way, Jean....manners.....decorum...? The 3 words do NOT belong in the same sentence! LOL LOL

Oh apologies re Barbara! What have you done to her? She only really sipped for medicinal purposes prior to Switzerland. We will bring our own trays. need to think of a plan to get them aboard. Will need lots of slippies and such like to move downhill faster. Any ideas re this Lyn and Ann?

What a shame that the snake recovered: oops, I mean was frozen temporalily. No chance of a relapse is there? Poor Amanda won't go near it after Stringfellows.

Oh, the poor little snake - just as well its thawed out! My tray has a real dint in it from that last run last night: that fir tree was very hard to see in the dark, and my goggles kept misting up. I lent them to Amanda, and I think she breathed wine fumes all over them.

Eleanor, you`ll need to bring some Pernod with you - Mary L`s develpoed a real taste for it, and she even uses it to oil her skis: she reckons it`s even better than linseed oil. I`ve hidden my whisky - no way is she having that for her skis, or her luge.

Leaving for the airport soon! Had no time to go shopping but have been in the shed for oil. Has Barbara been allowed out yet? We really need her organisational skills. Where are you Amanda? Have you got the champagne? Sounds as if Kathleen needs some after her incident with the tree. Second thoughts she probably had already had some hence the incident with the tree.

I go nowhere without pernod ans straws/ Know what you mean about Mary and Jenni is just as bad. Remember Blackpool? I had to drink wine for pain relief as she slogged all of the pernod! Just as well we are all friends.

See you at the airport Lizzie. Haven't heard from Lyn and Ann. They may well be there already as I can't see them wasting time.

The girls must be busy competing as this thread is quiet. Hope that Ann gets on the podium .

Well, we've all slept off the excesses of last night, just in time to meet the plane.

We'll have to make up an explanation for Eleanor as to the whereabouts of Kathleen and Amanda, better not tell her they are remanded in custody! Scared LOL

No sign of Barbara yet either!RollEyes

Oh my goodness things have definitely taken a turn for the worse!!!Blink I'm here, at the airport, complete with fancy shiny trays for the skeleton (actually I could do with a new skeleton!) but wondering whether I ought to jump the next plane back to the UK! Not sure where Ann is, thought perhaps she'd come with you Eleanor? Perhaps she's had second thoughts at the prospect of a demented snake! That poor snake!!! But at least if it thawed out without suffering brain damage we should be okay.

I would have been here sooner but when I heard Mary needed Pernod thought I'd get stocked up and bring it with me. Unfortunately girls the guys at Manchester Airport wouldn't let me board the plane with 50 bottles; they seemed to think they weren't for personal use Confused It's all been confiscated!! I told them that Mary thinks its better than linseed for the runners and that's what we need to use on the skis etc. I mean, honestly, talk about loyalty to your country, how are we supposed to win without the right stuff for the job!! Still I got to keep the slippy trays and brought some spares to replace the dinted ones so all is not lost.

Has Ann reached that podium yet? I was so looking forward to seeing her in the nudist luge but fear I may have missed her. Was she having her feet fixed before the event? She will certainly need fixing one way or another after it!!

Am going to jump an ice road trucker, they seem to be all the rage out here! So I will be with you all shortly.

Any news on Barbara, Amanda and Kathleen? Who's looking after the neurotic, oops sorry, beautiful snake?

See you soon

Lyn x
